Virtual Support Groups
We know navigating a cancer journey can be challenging, so at CSC Iowa & NW Illinois we offer peer to peer support groups so you can connect with others. Support groups are professionally facilitated. The groups we currently offer are:
- Connecting Through Cancer Support Group – A support group for adults with any type of cancer diagnosis in which cancer is one of their primary stressors.
- Friends & Family Cancer Support Group – A support group for adult friends and family of someone with a cancer diagnosis in which cancer is one of their primary stressors.
- Post Treatment Connect Support Group: Survivorship support group, where the individual has completed treatment and/or is on maintenance drugs.
- Prostate Networking Group: A networking group for those with a current prostate cancer diagnosis, survivors, care partners, or spouses.
Educational Workshop Series
Our educational workshops teach you how to live with cancer by providing new skills, information, and techniques. We cover a variety of topics, including diagnoses, treatments, side effects, survivorship challenges, insurance, finances, legal issues, nutrition, and more. Our workshops are taught by experts in a safe and informal setting where you can ask questions and get answers.
All of our workshops are offered at NO COST and open to the public.
