Elle
Certified Therapy Dog
Elle joined the Cancer Support Community Iowa & NW Illinois team as a certified therapy dog, providing comfort, connection, and emotional support to participants, volunteers, and staff. She is certified through Legacy Therapy Dogs, a local Quad Cities nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing the healing benefits of therapy animals to the community. To maintain her certification and skills, Elle participates in monthly advanced training classes.
When Elle is not supporting participants at Cancer Support Community, she enjoys life at home in Bettendorf with her handler aka “mom,” Kelsey Allen, her “dad,” Bret, and her two human brothers. Elle spends her free time running around the yard, playing chase, collecting cuddles, and convincing her family to share plenty of mini Milk-Bones. Her happy place is anywhere she can be close to the people she loves.
