ALYSSA SCHMIDT
Part Time Facilitator
Alyssa is a licensed clinical mental health counselor with a masters degree from Western Illinois University (2016). Alyssa co-founded Quad City Behavioral Health Associates in Rock Island, IL with two partners in 2018. Prior to that she worked with mental health advocacy, rehabilitation services, and substance abuse recovery through state mental health agencies in Missouri, Michigan, and Iowa (1993-2015). Alyssa specializes in trauma informed approaches and anxiety treatment, and has worked as a counselor with some clients going through cancer diagnosis, treatment, palliative care, and grief.
Alyssa lives in Coal Valley with her husband and a rescued basset hound. She enjoys travel, needlework, music, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
